WHAT IS LINK (ADRC)?
The place for information and assistance!
In Wayne County, LINK is a central place for:
· If you have a disability and need assistance;
· If you support someone who has a disability;
· If you are 60 or older;
· If you support someone who is 60 and older;
· If you simply have questions or concerns about disability or aging issues
LINK is the first place to go to get accurate, unbiased information on all aspects of life related to aging or living with a disability. LINKS are friendly, welcoming places where anyone – individuals, concerned families or friends, or professionals working with issues related to aging or disabilities can go for information specifically tailored to their situation. LINK provides information on a broad range of programs and services, helps people understand the various long term care options available to them, helps people apply for programs and benefits and serves as the access point for publicly – funded long term care. You may access these services via telephone (570-253-4262 or toll free outside the 253 exchange 1-866-253-5986), or through a visit to the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging located at 323-10th Street, Honesdale between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday – just ask to speak to the Intake Worker.
